One of the biggest things that have caused the most discomfort but simultaneously has provided deep, transformational growth on my own healing journey has been setting boundaries.
This word is almost like a swear word in a lot of conversations as setting boundaries can often be perceived as threatening to those who are less conscious/emotionally aware. With these individuals, we are often faced with this question: do I keep quiet to keep the peace or do I risk disrupting harmony in order to stand up for myself and strengthen my integrity? As a collective female force shifting away from the old patriarchal ways of thinking, more and more of us are looking back at our boundaries and doing the necessary deconstruction of thought patterns that keep us in compliant, victim mode in order to reclaim our power as women with unshakable self worth.
Today's guest is the lovely Bushra Hassim who you may have seen me collaborate with many a time (because she is just THAT awesome!). For those of you who are unfamiliar with Bushra, she is a NLP practitioner and Hypnotherapist based in South Africa. She helps professional women overcome self-sabotage through self-love by helping them connect with themselves, change subconscious beliefs and implement practical, and impactful self-love to practices so that they can create their happily ever after.
In this episode, Bushra reveals all about her own navigation through motherhood, separation and cultural expectations as well as how she managed to find the gift in her difficult experiences which transformed her into the empowered woman she is today.
