Earlier this season we had the wonderful Molly Nourmand talk about the post partum/ post natal depression and how this can have a detrimental effect on women without the proper support.
In this episode, we are rewinding back in the reproductive cycle to getting pregnant and the taboo around seeking alternative ways to start a family when complications around fertility arise.
My guest on this episode is the lovely Vanessa Hunt who started off as a solopreneur and specialized in residential property management for the past decade.
Things took a huge turn in her life however when she realised at the age of 40 that actually she did want to have children! She therefore did what a lot of women are scared to do and decided that not having a partner at the time wouldn’t stop her from becoming a mother.
She was so moved and inspired by her trying-to-conceive journey, that she decided to write a series of children’s books for children who are donor conceived and their parent(s). Her work is currently with an illustrator and the books will be available this year! She has also launched a blog that discusses the fertility journey more in depth and it is called: ‘ Challenge, Struggle Victory’. In the blog, Vanessa shares her insights around managing all the small, but impactful things around trying-to-conceive.
